The Emirates Insurance Association, which was legally registered in accordance with the Ministerial Decree No. (62) for the year 1988, and issued its statute by the Minister of Economy No. (45) for the year 1989, aims to develop and strengthen cooperation between insurance companies and agents of members and study the needs of the insurance market in the United Arab Emirates under the policy of the Ministry of Economics and Federal Law No. (6) for the year 2007 concerning the establishment of insurance and in a manner consistent with prudent economic directives issued by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the State.
