Reports submitted by SAAED's Company for traffic systems
A circular has been sent to insurance companies asking for providing the Emirates Insurance Association with the problems they are facing as a result of reports made by SAAED for traffic Systems Company. Insurance companies are advised to authenticate such problems with supporting documents in order to substantiate the Association's position when it steps in to resolve such a problem during the (monthly) periodical meetings to be held with SAAED Company in this respect. Such actions demanded by the Association are initiated by the lack of clarity of reports issued by SAAED with regard to accidents, as in many of these reports, it is mentioned that the (causer of accident are the place of accident is not known, or the report is preliminary, or there is no sketch for acc ident is not known etc…) such un affirmed reports provided by SAAD confirmed the existence of default responsibility, which had driven the board of directors to refer a copy of these reports to SAAED Company.
Issuing new licences to new Insurance Companies
The Association in its letter to the Insurance Authority, has recommended the encouragement of merger between UAE insurance companies, due to the immense deterioration in the end_ products of most insurance companies. This such decline has not been experienced by the UAE insurance market since its inception, which resulted in driving some of these companies to borrow from banks or obtaining soft loans ( Takaful Companies). It is worth noting that some of these companies have lost a major portion of their paid- up capital.
Basic and methods of co-operation between insurance companies with respect to redemption and compensation in the area of motor insurance
The board of directors of the Association has decided to send a circular to all operating insurance companies in UAE, recommending that all suspended redemption cases between insurance companies, shall be resolved amicably, under the auspices of the Association through an agreement project to settle recourse cases between insurance companies that are approved by the board of directors of the Association during a specified period of time not exceeding six month. But in case no amicable solutions have been reached, the matter shall be referred to the Insurance Authority to soften the stances of such companies.
